Recently, I found myself in such a situation, where a misunderstanding with a friend led to an unexpected lesson about assumptions, intentions, and the importance of open dialogue. The Initial Conflict: Seeking Support in a Difficult Situation It all started when I decided that I needed to address some bad behavior that had been bothering me for a while. The situation was delicate, and I felt that a direct confrontation might be necessary to resolve it. I reached out to a mutual friend, asking for the phone number of one of the people involved, hoping to gauge their support for the stance I was considering taking. To my surprise, my friend didn’t respond. I was left wondering why they were silent, especially when I had two of the three phone numbers I needed and just needed this final piece to potentially move forward....

Juxtapositional nonsense

When someone shows images of homeless people → then immediately cuts to Nazi leaders in full regalia, that juxtaposition is not neutral. It is almost always doing one or more of these things: 1. It implies “society is broken.” The homeless imagery is used as the problem. It’s a visual shorthand for: chaos decline disorder societal failure “look how bad things have gotten” This part is meant to evoke fear, disgust, or hopelessness. 2. The Nazi imagery becomes the “orderly alternative.” Showing Nazis in uniforms, parades, rigid formations, etc. is a way to frame authoritarianism as: disciplined strong clean efficient the solution Even if the creator doesn’t say it out loud, the implication becomes: “THIS chaos (homelessness) → could be fixed by THAT order (fascism).” That’s a classic fascist propaganda move. 3.
